Visa Document Attestation Guide
Document attestation is a critical step for work and family visas in Saudi Arabia. The process typically involves: 1. Notarization in your home country 2. Attestation by your country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Chamber of Commerce 3. Attestation by the Saudi Embassy in your home country 4. Final attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Saudi Arabia Some documents like marriage and birth certificates require translation into Arabic by a certified translator before attestation. Police clearance certificates are usually valid for 3-6 months, so time your application accordingly.
Quick Tip
Start your document attestation process 4-6 weeks before your visa application date. The attestation chain can take 2-4 weeks depending on your home country. Some Saudi embassies now offer online attestation services for faster processing.
