Understanding SIP Returns

SIP returns use the power of compound interest: 1. Monthly Investment: Fixed amount invested every month. 2. Compound Interest: Each month's investment earns returns, and those returns earn returns. 3. Future Value Formula: FV = P × [((1+r)^n - 1)/r] × (1+r) - P = Monthly Investment - r = Monthly Rate (Annual/12) - n = Total Months (Years × 12) Longer duration and higher rates dramatically increase returns.

Example Calculation

Monthly Investment: SAR 1,000 Annual Return: 8% Duration: 10 years (120 months) Monthly Rate: 8%/12 = 0.667% Future Value: 1,000 × [((1.00667)^120 - 1)/0.00667] × 1.00667 = SAR 184,164 Total Invested: 1,000 × 120 = SAR 120,000 Returns: 184,164 - 120,000 = SAR 64,164
